You don't have to be a professional
You don't have to be a professional or an expert - enthusiasm and commitment are just as important.
How you can help
- Become an advisor or member of one of our working groups.
- Make sure that your MP, MEP and local councillors are fully briefed about issues surrounding deafness and how they may be affected by legislation.
- Write to your local or national newspaper about current issues affecting deaf and hard of hearing people.
- Complain (constructively) about poor facilities or provision for hard of hearing people in public places - and, equally, praise them when they get it right.
- Encourage people at your workplace, college, church, community centre, sports centre and so on to be aware of issues surrounding deafness.
