Loss of hearing, however severe, can have a traumatic impact on the individual, as well as affecting close family. Hearing Concern provides the vital personal support that can help people overcome the sense of helplessness and isolation. By providing information on hearing loss, advice about technical aids and assistance with improving communication, Hearing Concern can offer hard of hearing people the chance to integrate in the hearing community.
Hearing Concern is a charity of the hard of hearing and I have immense admiration for the work of the trained volunteers and active club members who offer their own skills and experience to help others. As Hearing Concern expands its resource centres into the regions, I know it will be meeting very real needs.
I wish the exciting new regional developments at Hearing Concern well and I trust they will receive the enthusiastic support they deserve.

Vice President: Evelyn Glennie OBE, Percussionist
Many people with hearing loss still use speech and remain part of the hearing world. Hearing Concern is the only national charity dedicated to the needs of this often forgotten group.
Hearing Concern works in partnership with hundreds of local hard of hearing organisations and together we make a real difference to the lives of thousands of people. Please join us and support our valuable work.
